"From Glory To Glory" is the title of a song I wrote based on 2 Corinthians 3:18 (we are changed as we behold the glory of God). It is also the title of a group of songs I wrote and put on a CD. There are other CDs of songs the Lord has given me and I will tell you more about that later on. For now I want to tell you about the power of a song inspired by the word of God. As a worship leader and instructor, songwriter, and minister of the gospel, God has given me many songs and teachings over the years. I have also been able to write and record a lot of the songs which the Lord has used to bless many people. Many testimonies confirm this fact. An example of this is when my friend, Ron recently called to ask for the chord chart for a song of mine that a prison inmate wanted to play and sing while he is incarcerated. He has obviously been touched and blessed by that song. Glory to God. Several years ago, God gave me a song titled "Write This Song", from Deuteronomy chapter 31. In that chapter God basically tells Moses that His people are wicked and getting worse, but He had a plan. Verse 31 reveals that His plan is for Moses to "Write This Song and put it on the lips of My people." God also says in that chapter that His people will forget God's word, His ways and even forget God Himself and then turn and worship other gods, BUT they would not forget the song! That is so powerful! Music is a supernatural force invented by God for the purpose of glorifying Him, but at the same time teaching His word and many other powerful things. Things like ministering the life of God and driving out demons, such as David did with Saul in 1 Samuel 16:23. |

| Write This Song! Deuteronomy 31 is that account of God giving Moses an awesome assignment to write a song that would literally change the world in his day. The actual song Moses wrote following this assignment is recorded in the very next chapter, but there is so much to learn from observing those specific guidelines God originally set forth. From the beginning of chapter 31 through verse 19, God basically tells Moses that His own people would forget His word, His ways and even God Himself, but they would not forget the song. This is so awesome. Music is such a powerful force. |

Today! Today we have the New Testament admonition from the writings of the apostle, Paul. He wrote in Colossians 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord". This is really quite self-explainatory, but for some reason many Christians overlook this life-changing practice. Here we can clearly see that God wants His children to use the God-given gift of music for teaching His word, and admonishing each other to let His word dwell in us richly. Notice it does not say "Let the word of Christ dwell in you casually", LIKE SO MANY PEOPLE ATTEMPT TO DO. Richly means aboundantly and singing His word to ourselves and to each other is a wonderful way to accomplish this. Wow! What a concept! More To Come! Stay Tuned!
